Great fights this weekend!
We finished up last week hard. We had our kids awards in BJJ, and we had a Japanese Jiu Jitsu day. I never imagined this would be so popular with the kids, but I sure do enjoy it as well!

We had some good fights this weekend in Jacksonville. There were a lot of different matches, from Kickboxing, and Muay Thai to MMA.

Travis had his first fight. If you're been training at REVOLUTION long enough you probably know Travis. He hasnt been in much until right before his fight due to his job that keeps him gone for extended periods. However, while Travis was away at work he lost almost 30 lbs. His first fight was an exhibition where he could test things out, competing at a new weight, cutting weight and testing his overall performance. Travis did a great job, and we're proud of him. He trained each day he was here, driving well over an hour to do so. He lost a significant amount of weight and did everything we asked him to do in his camp, even cutting weight in a sauna to be sure to make weight exactly even though his match was an Exhibition. He is also a huge supporter of the team, he'll be flying all the way to Japan in July to see Nova Uniao Team Mate Shaolin fight in Dream in Japan. We're jealous!
Congratulations Travis.

Wes was up and was the main event. He fought an experienced wrestler. Wes has been working on his striking and ground game, perfecting his techniques with each class. He was able to finish this fight with a Choke in Round 1. Great job Wes!

Most importantly thank you to everyone who came out to watch. I know it wasn't right down the street, but the fighters all appreciate your support. Thank you to everyone in class who has helped out in motivating and training, as their success in the ring is attributed to your help as well. TOO BAD MOST OF YOU ALL DID NOT STAY FOR OUR GROUP PICTURE AND WENT HOME AND GOT IN BED!!

We'll have to decide on what piece of equipment we'll get next. I'm still thinking of a few ideas.

Keep up the good work everyone!
